Accessibility varies from one location to another. When planning a trip, verify that accessibility at your departure and arrival stations suits your needs. To do so, check for the presence of the icon on the web page of your station or contact Customer Service at 514 287-TRAM (8726).
You must be self-sufficient in all steps of your travel, i.e. purchasing and validating your transit pass or ticket, getting to the platform, using the elevator, and boarding and detraining. Given that no staff is present at the station, consider asking someone to accompany you, if required.
To determine which transit pass or ticket you require and where to buy it, consult our section How do I buy my fares?
Your fare must be validated on the platform, before boarding the train. Keep it within reach; you may be asked to provide it in the event of a ticket inspection.
If you are accompanied, you must hold a valid transit pass or ticket for this person.
For more information, visit our Fares section or contact one of the following organizations:
When on the platform, pay attention to signage and make your way to the identified boarding area. Wait behind the yellow line until the train has come to a complete stop.
An inspector or a member of the train crew will be on board the designated train car for boarding and disembarking.
Mobilized Mobility Aid (MMA)
Train cars are accessible by the majority of Motorized Mobility Aid users. However, wheelchairs (including three- or four-wheeled scooters) wider than 29 inches and/or weighing over 600 lb (the combined weight of the passenger and the MMA) are not accepted on board.
Remember to check whether your MMA complies with these requirements before travelling.
